Well... It's been about 8 months now since my Viv was completed and I still can't decide on a type of frog!

Hey guys! I am having the worst time deciding on a frog type to get. There are so many, and they all have their perks. All I want is a frog that is very active and not very shy. I've been toying with azureus and leucomelas. My favorite for looks is T. Alanis, but I hear they're kind of shy. Please tell me your favorite type and what you'd recommend for this tank. Thanks. Brooks

Well as far as i know all tincs are about the same in boldness. My blue sips are very bold. When i set down near the tank most of them well come up to the glass and watch me for a bit. Buts thats after they got use to their surroundings. That took about a month.

I personally would like to have some yellow backs, regina, surinam cobalts, D auratus panaminan/costa rica, Pumilo 'blue jeans', or pumilo green.

aj

BTW, thats vivarium looks awesome!

Sweeeeeet!!!! That's a terrific looking tank. How big is it?

My large tank (150 gal) is home to several different types of frogs. No, I don't plan to breed. If I do, I'll move the pairs to separate tanks. I currently have 2 orange splashback galacs, 3 leucs (males), a pair of azureus, a pair of surname cobalts, and 2 male powderblues. Out of eleven darts, I have 2 actively breeding females and a galac that I'm not sure of yet. My most favorite frogs and the most outgoing are the cobalts, the powderblues, azureus, and the leucs, in that order. The leucs are awesome! I hear them calling several times a day. But the cobalts are extremely attractive and most all of the frogs, except the galacs, come up to the glass to watch me watching them. These guys are so totally addicting! I have a second, smaller (50 gal) tank with different kinds of auratus plus a pair of dwarf french guianas. These guys are much shyer, but still fun to watch.

Good luck picking out just one species - it aint easy!
