Hello, I'm new to this forum. A friend of a friend owns a Northern Pine that may or may not have some Gopher blood in him. The snake is for sale and somone else might buy him. If they don't take him, I'm next in line to get him. I'm curious if you could take a look and tell if you think he's pure pine or if you think he is part Gopher. I don't have the full story of why they think he's a mix. I have no plans to breed so not worried if he isn't a pure pine.

Also, if I do get the snake, I'm curious what type of setup would be good. I think I read that Pine's like to climb. This is a pic of the setup I have for my Yellow/Everglades Rat, would a similar setup work for the Pine? This is a 40 Breeder with UTH, a heat lamp, Aspen Bedding, Driftwood, a Hide that's hard to see in this pic (it's behind the green plant), and some fake vines that my Rat loves to lay under.

This is the Rat who lives in that enclosure. His name is Pumpkin.

I've never seen the Pine in person but I hear it has a wonderful temperament. I hope the other people don't take him because the more I look at his pic the more I want him. Curious as to any opinions you guys might have...
