What should the humidity be in the incubator while incubating?
And...what should the humidity be right at the egg vermiculate level? I have a digital humidity gauge lying in the vermiculate....what is the optimal humidity percent?
Thanks,
Jim

I know this isn't exactly what you were asking, but I can tell you what worked for me. I didn't have any type of humidity gauge, so I just did as the Barkers suggest in the ball python manuel, just weigh your eggs once a week and if they are losing weight, add water. Worked great for me. In your situation you could also record humidity levels and see what the humidity is when you are losing weight. Anyway, hopefully someone who knows more of what you are asking will chime in.

...is sufficient to allow exchange of respiratory gases (CO2/O2) at the surface of the eggs. Above 90% or so is fine but due to condensation one risks excessive water dripping on the eggs which can be detrimental.
