hove bator problem???? help

litlebuterfly Apr 10, 2004 12:20 AM

Just got another hova bator today and I bought the same model I already had the turbo fan model 2362. When the light goes on so does the fan to circulate the air flow, when the light goes off so does the fan on the one I already had. The one I got today the fan stays on CONSTANTLY. Does anyone know or have one to tell me which one is the one working properly? Thank you so much.

The one I had all along I have hatched out many eggs to this date and have many bearded eggs in now and all is and has been fine, I am just confused on the way it is suposed to be since they are both the same and purchased from the same company. I have already left a message with them tonight.

My fan is only on when the light is on. I was told the fan can dry out the eggs more than the kind without the fan. Luckily since it's only on when the heat kicks on, which isn't too often or too long, I'm hoping it will be ok. I'm afraid to snip at wires to disconnect it in case I ruin the incubtor and I have my very first pair of fertile eggs in there now which are more precious than gold to me. I don't think it would be good to have the fan on all the time. Maybe they changed the way they are since I bought mine and you got your last one. My next one will be the picture window version with no fan. Good luck!

Yep thats what I am going to replace mine to the one without the fan. I guess they made some adjustments since the last model. The only reason i got the fan for my last one is that I have the expansion rings on there because I have a ton of beardies eggs incubating. The odd thing is that my room temp is 75 and I have to crach the lid to get it to stay at 80 and if i close the lid it spikes to 86-the heat is not on only the fan so there has to be a heat source comming from somewhere? Wierd but they said they would fix it on monday for me.

Good luck with your eggs it is such a joy when they hatch!!
