Weird question

SBShortie Jun 13, 2003 04:30 PM

Hey guys-

When I took Bam Bam to the vet about his front toe, he kinda gave Bam Bam a mini check-up. Bam Bam and Pebbles both have kinda knobby back toes, but I saw that in the pictures Eve put up today too. The vet thought it was from a lack of calcium..but yet he said Bam Bam had a really nice looking jaw (which I thought happened due to enough calcium). Their food gets dusted every feeding. Can someone please shed some light on the knobby back toes thing? Thanks! I am gonna be good and try to post some pictures now.

My take is your vet has not seen too many lizard feets LOL. I've only seen one case of freaky foot syndrom (as I've liked to call it). Funny, it went totally unseen by the keeper of the lizard, and bothered him ever since. I think it was actually some parasitic invention in the nodules. His lizards were kept optimally, and there was no way it was metabolic bone disease onset. The lizard was full grown and had only been a captive for less than one year.

Lizard Knuckles is my answer, but I will have to see pics to verify my claim LOL
