Help with mousicles

Smith710 Apr 10, 2004 10:35 AM

Hi, I have a 3 foot Columbian Red Tail Boa. I bought her in January and she was fed live. I have tried to feed her frozen mice but she won't pay any attention to it at all. I have put it in front of her face and I have dangled it and moved it in front of her but she just totaly ignores it. Please help I dont want to have to feed her big rats when she gets bigger I wouldnt want her to get hurt.
Thank You

I had the same problem. When she is hungry enough to eat two mice, feed her one live and one frozen. They have a strong feeding response, so she will probably eat the frozen and eating the live first. (Be sure the frozen is completely defrosted. Warm would not hurt...)

If you do this a couple of times, you should be able to go all frozen as I did.
