This is a juvie Cape York...one of a pair we are playing with.
With as arboreal as Antaresia are, I like to think of them as miniature Scrub Pythons. Maybe it's just me...

The spotted pythons I've kept showed no inclination to climb--maybe it was because they were in shoeboxes though.

In nature, they are often found hanging upside down in bat caves, trying to catch a snack. We have kept ours in display cages with branches and the snakes rarely touched the ground. Their heating was from above so that contributes to the behavior. If heat is on the ground, its probably going to seem terrestrial. Antaresia are both arboreal and terrestrial IMO.
I wonder about pygmys though.
