it depends...it can be recessive or dominant depending on the bloodline...

Reflex Geckos Check it out!
Jungle is a linebred trait...meaning leos with the pattern were selectively bred together to make it more and more different from normal. It also means that there are numerous genes contributing to the appearance...and not one dominant or recessive trait. Breeding a jungle to a normal may or may not give more jungles and if it does give jungles than they may have more or less patterning than the jungle parent...it's pretty much a crapshoot because there's no way of knowing what genes are affecting the trait.

on the "other" site we are having a duscussion just about this same poin... christina i would like to know where you got your info from...
i have a pair of stripes and when bred they produce 100% striped offspring.. from the back of the neck to the tip of the tail....... might want to double check some of your info or perhaps whom you are getting it from... while it isnt a dominant trait and in alot of cases it seems temps fluctutations CAN play a rol;l in abbarancies there are a couple of lines of recessive stripes........ in these line it is recessive in nature however i am not for sure if its complete or incomplete form of a recessive trait

I guess I've mostly gotten it from people on here... I have heard that it can be simple recessive or dominant...but I thought it was normally a linebred trait. My girl Blinkers had I believe a reverse stripe and a normal patterned parent (that could be off...Rick if you happen to read this please correct me if I'm wrong...) and she is technically a jungle because she has an abnormal ring on her tail...which would lead me to believe that its linebred (or at least there's incomplete dominance of some sort...) because if it was simple recessive she wouldn't have that at all (unless it had something to do with incubation or something somehow). I don't visit the other site...so I have no idea what's going on over there and don't have any info from anyone there... Do you think its possible that there are multiple ways to get jungles? I just think the extreme variance between what are considered jungle is just too much for it to be a single simple recessive or dominant gene... I don't know...

i think that abbarancies and junglish animals *can possibly be an "earmark" for an animal that carries the gene, IF it is an animal from a proven gentic line... however i think that stripes bred to normal or what not MIGHT (if its a genetic strip[e) hets even if the offspring is banded... i will know more later on this season i have a couple of "het" stripe that are normal appearing banded animals... so maybe later this season we will know more

That's a tough one. You never know if your "normal" cb is a het, so a jungle x "normal" could give either(like my "normal" Rainwaters gave three patternless albinos last year). Guess you'd have to cross your jungle with a wildcaught to get a better idea. Have to agree with Robin. My jungle x jungle and stripe x stripe crosses have always given more of same. Ron Tremper would be a good one to ask.
just wanted to see if you got the most recient of my emails to you..... got two l;ittle ts-f for ya sittin in my rack hehe cuties LOL... i hope i have the right adress im sure i do anywho just checking
