Angolan Python question

i dont know much about them so im asking here. are Angolan Pythons their own species or are they a cross breed???? because to me they look like a Ball X Carpet

They are a separate species. Python anchietae that looks like a ball python in rough shape, but with markings alot like an African Rock Python (P. sebae) and the wildest beaded scalation you will encounter in a python.

They are one of the rarest in captivity and only a few animals were ever collected in the wild from their native country of Angola and I believe northern Namibia. They get bigger than a ball (females up to 7ft), but are more active, IMO.

Angolan pythons are their own breed. They hail from sw Africa -> places like angola Aka Anchieta's dwarf python.
