Nightcrawlers or Red Wigglers?

Goblin-Gecko14 Apr 10, 2004 07:36 PM

I went to reptilefood.com and I saw a big price difference in red worms and nightcrawlers. Which do you guys think is better for a horned frog?

red wigglers are just so small compared to nightcrawlers. It would take many more wigglers to fill your frog. Then again it depends on the size of your frog when deciding on the size of worm. If it is a decent size, I would go with nightcrawlers.

Red wriggers are also known as dung worms, Eisenia foetida. These worms when stressed will secrete a foul tasting secretion as a result many amphibians will reject these as a food source.
