before i buy

hi i need some help on a few things before i'll buy a baby alligator snaping turtle, like when it gets big were can i find a tank big enough for the little monster,i've heard of people using rubber maids totes but i really dont like that idea i want to get a glass tank but i dont know whay size to get, as you can tell im a long way before i can go out to buy one.

as far i know and i work in a pet shop, they really don't make a tank that I consider big enough to house a full size alligator snapping turtle. you can pay the big bucks and get a custom made one, but it is a lot cheaper to get a tub and make it nicer from there.

stock tanks are perfect, check your local farm supply store

You really aren't going to have to worry about that for quite a while
The babay will be pretty small.
They grow pretty steady for the first few years, but they do slow down.

I have 3 - 3 year olds in a 30 long right now.They will need to be moved by the end of the year.
Probobly to a 45 breeder tank
I have 4 - almost 2 year olds in a 20 long.
My 35 pounder is in a stock tank , but she could be 35 years old.
My big guy is in a 300 gallon horse trough, but he's probobly over 80 years old.

You have a lot of time to go up in tank size.
And as you are going up, there a lot of options.
