Hi everybody. This question is for those who keep tristis, and those who have successfully hatched them. Other than the ol' dirt substrate approach, what other alternatives have you used with positive results? I remember there being an old article in Reptiles Magazine covering the topic, but I do not remember any details of it. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. I have a bh that is gravid once again, along with a gravid freckled, and the past three times she(bh) became gravid, she absorbed. I have tried three different substrates for her to lay in, with no avail. She just doesn't seem to like any of the ones I tried. She would dig and test out areas, but would then not "deliver". Therefore, for this time, I am questioning setting up a lay box with coco fiber/sand. I have also heard of using sawdust as a nesting material-anybody hear of this?. Thanks for your time/recommendations.
