snalt buildup blocking nostril

nikon Apr 10, 2004 09:46 PM

This happen to anyone else? Today his right nostril was blocked because of the snalt. This mean he's dehidrated? How can I make sure he gets enough h20? What greens have the most amount of h20 in them? I think that I will make a trip to the store to get some cactus b/c it has a good chunk of h20 but what else does? He seems to like to eat later in the day so I think that I may start to place his food in the tank later in the day so it doesn't dry out as much too. Any thoughts on the greens with the most h20 other than cactus?

Got rid of the blockage today with a wet cloth dabbing his nostril til it was gone - he seemed to like that too. Other than bathing him is there another way to remove the blockage?

Thanks

I use a wet Q-tip to get rid of the salt. I have heard that it is not a sign of dehydration, just a variation of minerals in the uro's food. It shouldn't harm him at all.
