Kingsnake ate... finally.

Sypha Apr 10, 2004 11:12 PM

I tried all the advice offered to my previous post, and just today I got the little bugger to eat some pinkies. I didn't even have to kill a house gecko to do it... just stuck the pinkies in the gecko's cage for a little bit and put them in the cage with the snake.

He was a very mild mannered snake... Took his time in eating. But, at least I know he's eating. So... now I have a house gecko for a pet too. Lol!

Thanks to everyone who's offered help.

big relief , I spoke to you from your early posts. Just food for thought make sure you document(notes) every little thing you did ex. time of day temps. (high/low) spot where you fed, size of pinkie, place where you purchased it etc. this aids in the learning curve and helps you develop/understand the snakes patterns. basically try to mimic the exact conditions that caused your feeding response. Don't remove or add anything to cage it sounds like your blairs is starting to get comfortable with its surroundings. Good to hear from you. GB's can be fussy - sounds like you are figuring out the combination. job well done!
