Im especially interested in behavior or qualities that are unique to them. Im interested in the Jamps personally. If I go with a smaller retic, will i still get the full Retic experience except in a smalller package?

Jampeas are just as awesome to work with as a normal size retic. The ones I have worked with and owned (own) are very docile animals. They still have big personalities, they are very alert/intelligent, and eating machines. To many people though, the size of a retic is what makes them so fun to have and own. I love large snakes, I have never been able to get into smaller species. If the size is what you are worried about, then a dwarf is right for you. I have a male Super Dwarf X Jampea Dwarf that is absolutely my favorite snake in my collection. My two yellowheads are a close second. He is 19 months old and right around 5 feet, compare that to a tiger I had that was a male and 8 feet long in only 11 months. My super jamp eats twice a week also, so he is in no way underfed. Here is a pic of him

Sorry, posted this under the wrong thread.
No disrespect toward the dwarf retic species. I intend to get many this year and I think they are nice looking and neat. But honestly, for the most part, if I want a small snake I'll get a little species. I think that it's incredibly cool that retics become monstrously huge and I wouldn't really want them any other way. Especially now that these days they are so gentle and tame.
The same thing with the burmese. I am not really looking forward to a lot of "dwarf burmese", though of course I will be getting them too from a business and novelty standpoint. I of course understand that many people don't have the space for a full sized burm or tic and that there will be a decent market for these. But really, burms are supposed to be HUGE. Calling a dwarf "burm" a burmese is like like considering a little Japanese mini truck as comparable to a full sized truck. It just isn't the same. And I personally feel that the novelty of these dwarf species will mostly wear off after a few years and that the main focus will return to the giants.
If those dwarf burms truly are dwarfs then I hope that they are classified as an entirely different species altogether because those aren't "burms" in my book. And the dwarf retics need to be classified as different locality subspecies too probably. I look at those and don't see true "retics".
