"Sweating"...? and incubating ?'s

dmlove Apr 11, 2004 10:04 AM

When the term "sweating" is used for eggs, does it mean that they are doing just that, as a sign of them going to hatch? also is denting a sign that the eggs are going to hatch? How many days do you keep them in the incubator after hatching and how many days after hatchling do they avrg start to eat?

Sweating means just that, and denting can also be a sign of hatching. I keep them in the incubator for the first 24 hours on moist paper towels. They will usually start to eat in 2-3 days but I start offering on day 2.
