One more question (for now...)

First off, thank you all very much for your generous sharing information...

one thing I can't seem to figure out though...

What do you guys do for the tank covering...it seems that an all-screen covering would dry out the tank, while an all-glass one would fog it up completely...what about the original aquarium top? Don't those usually provide for a little ventilation (fish breathe dissolved oxygen, after all...)? Also, as far as lighting goes, is a plain flourescent bulb good enough, or is a reptisun needed? Would there be enough light if I were to just put a flourescent light (or a reptisun) in the aquarium fixture? Thanks...

I figure I'll set up the vivarium and have it operating successfully before adding the frogs...that way the cost is spread out, too!

Thanks for all your help!
Craig

Yes with a mesh tank cover it will dry out and you will not get the 80-100% humidity you need. And yes you need something like a fiah tank cover. Preferablly the top needs to be comepletly covered. Moving air inside the tank isnt a big deal. Yes tehg lass will get fogged but in my experiance it isnt such a big deal. My humidity is high all the time and my glass isnt fogged that often. You could also use a computer fan system to defog the glass if you wanted to.

As for lighting you need lights with a kalvin rating of 5,000-10,000. What i am using now is just a normal 2 strip shop light from lowes with repti-glo 2.0 bulbs. On my next tank, when ever that may be... i plan to used CFs from www.ahsupply.com
