Hey, at the good pet store by my house they have a niger uromastyx. It is a cool looking animal. I did a google and found like 2 care sheets on them, both had answers that varied a lot. Since the google on niger uros didn't do to well i did a google on just uromastys and found a lot of care sheets. I found out that there are lots of different species of uros, and am wondering which one is closest to the niger in care. Also if any of you could answer these questions, it would be awesome.
How big do they get? (length and weight)
will they live COMFORTABLY in a 3' by 2' by 2' (LWH) cage?
are they usually mean or "nice", or does it vary to wildly to tell?
will a baby one become "nice" and "tame"?
What should the basking temp really be? (i've heard from 100-130)
should there be a night time temp drop?
are they herbivoruous or omnivorus? (i've heard both)
for the plants they eat, would an iguana type salad be good?
does anyone know of any good care sheets?
what other kind is similar to the niger?
