Can i put half of the tank with shallow water?
or will it make the humidity to high

It depends what species you are talking about. For a water monitor it would be fine, as long as their is enough land. The land should be big enough for a hot spot, a cooler spot, a hide box or two, a basking area, and space for it just to run around a little.

are you doing this for your enjoyment alone or does the sav get to have fun too?

the sav does not need that much water, it needs something to drink from.
