Went over to pic up another baby crested and ended up coming home with a baby beardie too. What does everybody use for for UVB lighting for them when they are little? I have a 36 inch Reptisun 5.0 for when he gets bigger but need something small for him for right now or do they not really depend on UVB so much when they are little? How about setting them in the sun for a half hour or so a day? Have read all the care sheets and such but as most all should know some things written are not worth a darn so any advice given will be appreciated!!

If you want to use artificial uv light, I recoment the reptisun 5, just make sure he is 12" or less from it. 1/2 hour a day is good but probably not enough. I have not seen any exact numbers or studies but I would guess 2 hrs would be sufficient. If you do use sunlight, don't use calcium with D3. You have to be careful not to oversupliment
