At the pet store I am an assistant manager at, we found a Bibron Gecko that escaped way back in November. He is only about 4" long, and has what I think is a broken jaw, not to mention a really bad shedding problem.
Now, as for the jaw, he tries to bite you but can only exert pressure with the rear of the jaw, while the front half (only the bottom, top seems fine) just seems out of place. It reminds me of when my burm is trying to realign his jaw..... It doesn't seem that he can eat, but he looks VERY healthy, just the jaw seems very bad. Now, I've never seen MBD before, so I don't know if that is what I'm looking at, or if it is a broken lower jaw. If it is either, what can be done for this besides the obvious of UVB and calcium???? What about feeding? It doesn't look like he'll be able to eat crickets...
Onto the shedding problem. He/she looks like its got at least 2 sheds stuck on him. It's bad enough to the point that he can't climb anything because his pads are covered. Should I setup a temporary humidity shelter?
This is definitely an uphill battle, but any advice would be welcomed!
