I have feed my leos silkworms on occasion. The silk worms are a lot of work compared to crickets and mealworms. My leos absolutely love them! I only feed them as a treat though and not a staple diet.

Silk worms are really an ideal food item, excellent calcium content, easy to digest, etc.
Unfortunately, they're also pretty darned expensive, unless you happen to own a mulberry tree, and breed your own.
Other possible choices include lobster roaches...those seem to be gaining popularity, but no information on their nutritional content is available.
They are sure expensive, but the don't have a smell like crickets and jiggy alot more than mealworms. Also there is no need to gutload them as mulberry leaves has it all. However with my leos they tend to like it one day and not on another day. it is weird, one my leos will eat it but then stop and on would want waxies.
they are definately a realy great way to round off your leos diet. but wow are they expensive. they are also harder to care for and come by. try it if you want. cant hurt anything if you do right?
