Hey ya'll. I have seen on more than one occasion a picture of an anaconda(usually a yellow) constricting a caiman. I was looking for such a picture on the internet to show a friend but can't seem to find one. Does anybody know the address to a picture of an anaconda constricting or eating a caiman? Or any large boa/python constricing/eating any crocodilian? I'd appreciate anybody's help.

Thanks in advance,
David

Thanks dfr, that's exactly the picture i was looking for!

It looks like a yellow to me.. just because the greens are gigantic, doesn't make the yellows small Then again the caimen might be on the small side too.. hard to gauge the size of an animal in a picture without something to compare it to(at least something that doesn't vary in size such as another animal)

Thanks again dfr! if i can ever figure out how to post pictures i'll put some of my boy on here

That is definitely notaeus, and from the background material, I am guessing the caiman at around 4 feet.

` I have not, so far, found a picture of E. deschauenseei that has enough resolution to see any detail, or to enlarge.
` The Anaconda pictured killing the Caiman looks like E. notaeus, to me.
`
` Just as with behavior, generalizing about size potential for Anacondas is just not a reliable source of information.
`
` From my experience with Yellow Anacondas, as with Greens, there are several races of them. Certain of them can get quite large, indeed!
` I have a young adult female who seems to be growing into a giant. I'll know more in a few years.

` Here's another angle of the shot of the Yellow killing the Caiman.
