WTF's not climbbing recently

prich Apr 11, 2004 10:31 PM

I've had my WTF's for about a year now and they would always climb around the foliage at night and hang out on the glass all day. Over the past few weeks they won't leave the ground. They are still eating very well and appear fine. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Mine do the exact same thing. I wouldn't be too concerned as long as they are still eating well and appear in good health which you said the are.Hope this helps

My wtf Max isnt climbing and he doesnt eat. I also c him on the ground lethargic and dull looking. He is really brown and unhappy looking. His eyes r closed and he looks a little bloated too. N E advice will help a lot. Thx.

Cindy1212, You should really get that frog to a vet asap! also a description of the tank would help, as the symptoms you list could be one of many problems. so a vet would be the best to determine exactly what is wrong and the best method of treatment.

For the person who started this topic, i dono if this helps any but my gecko used to lose his sticking ability just before he shead his skin. I havent seen anything like this in my whites, but if there are NO other symptoms this could be the case, or i could be way off....either way if it is possible for you to get your frog to a vet (or just a local amphibian expert! sometimes more knowledgable than a GP vet) it might save you some trouble down the road.
