Hello, I was wondering is like the mulch you can get from K Mart any good for dumeril boa substrate? Like the pine, or the red stuff or what ever else they have. Thank you.

Pine is crap,go with aspen if your hell bent on using wood shavings.I use newspaper with my boas.Newspaper isnt pretty but it's much easier to clean out and it's dirt cheap.

If your looking for something that looks good in the cage i use coconut bark chips . My dum seems to love the stuff she can burrow under it with no problem .
