When I first saw young Eric/a my first response was FEMALE
Then i got him/her home and was not sure
after rviewing the gender page form Froggie b's Website a few times I am fairly confident that the Diamond Hip area indicates a female
There is a vally at the base of the tail
and I do see some bulging at the vent area (slightly more behind the vent than in-front)

The front legs actually have some Irridescent Blue, the Bright olor is green, and the Dominant color seems to be Brown like Erowen.
However Erowen was VERY Green when I First Got her too.

I have to charge the battery in the camera before I can post a pic.
but I will, and Pics of Tripod too (he should arrive on Tuesday)

From you descriptions I would say female. If this is an older dragon, say 4-5" nose to vent, and it were a male the bulge at the base of the tail would be very obvious. To date, nobody has reported a blue male either. The only one that I did hear of wound up laying eggs!

The females do seem to have a bit of a bulge on the body side of the vent and maybe a bit just below. On the male though this would be elongated down into the actual base of the tail.

Compare to Erowen too. That can be very helpful.

Hopefully you can post pics soon.

Erika it is then

She only has a little blue
but it is the most BEAUTIFUL Blue I have ever seen (almost BlueJay Blue)

I will be heartbroken if she gets like Erowen and never shows her colors ever again

She LOVES having water to swim in
and her retained shed is coming off nicely

SHe does NOT eat Mealworms or Aliens

but does ear some Worms, and I M gonna get her some Crix today

OK.......The new one I got will get the prettest blue on the legs and even a bit in the yellow spots on the body when I take hin/her? outside in the sun for a while.
12 in. STL.
There are 2 bulges above the vent and continueing below the vent. for a small distance.
They look the same in Casper who is the same length.
casper has never shown blue tho. Sooo I may have 2 girls then!!

if the bulge doesn't continue down into the tail about 1/2" by the time it is 12" total lenght then I would say a positive male! Actually they are about the same as beardies for sexing. When you see a male it is obvious!
