sick beardie

medusa609 Apr 12, 2004 10:09 AM

One of the female bearded dragons at my school has gotten really sickly looking. It is almost as if she has become crippled. Her back is hunched and she can barely move her legs. She is about 12 years old but i dont think that is the cause. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with her??
thanks! Dani

12 years old is pretty amazing, WOW. Has anything changed in the past 6mo-a year? what is her diet? is she getting suppliments? Is she getting UV light? if so what type? A picture would really help. My first thought is MBD but in a 12 year old BD...? It might me arthritis...? Are her legs twitching at all?

I would say you need to get to a vet if she is having a hard time walking. Keep us posted.

12 years is pretty darn good

If she has been fed right and supplimented correctly, etc. I would lean more towards the arthritis idea Bennett posted.
