Hi,
Does anyone know what type of paints and varnishes are suitable for use in vivs and any idea of how long they need to be left to cure before the painted panels can be placed in the viv?
Thanks,
Sutmae

I agree. I tried polyacrylic - a water based clear coat on my rack it worked fine but is $13 a quart which is expensive and is not as durable.
My plan is to get some polystyrene (sp?) ceiling tiles and then paint them with some stone effect spray paint from Plasti-kote, I think it`s called Fleckstone? Anyway, I then wanted a clear varnish or something like that to seal it. I know Plasti-Kote do a similar sealant product in a spray can any ideas if this can be used? Or any other regular varnish/lacquer type product that I can use.
Thanks.

talk to chrisharper2 on the cage and habitat design forum he is a big help. Also ask on the beardie forum about "sealing fake rock".
