I cannot believe the deal I just got... And I got my ALL TIME #1 wished-for herp!!!! I've wanted one of these since I was 16 and saw one being pulled from a bag (imported, of course, at that time). Back then, the price tag was $1600. I have drooled and dreamed of having one these fantastic snakes ever since... And I could NOT pass up the deal that the local store owner offered me. Let's just say that some of my students pay more for their tennis shoes than what I paid for this creature WITH the Reptarium (which she will not stay on, but still..). Unreal... of course, this is the same store owner who sold me 4 36" Neodesha cages - with the rack - for $300 last year...

OK, I've got to go breathe now, I am so excited, I can't sit still!!

Giggling like a schoolgirl,

Bonnie

Thanks, CE... you mean those ones she showed me when I tried to handle her??? Yah, I know - I was wearing leather elbow-length BBQ mittens... but she was just nipping, anyway - just a warning to leave her alone. I did.

Anybody know of a good shot that shows those teeth?? Hubby doesn't quite believe my warnings, I think...

Great-animal. And a pretty great store owner, too.

Beautiful snakes... the emmies were always one of my "must have before i die" snakes. Now i have four... beautiful, and mostly tame. But as another person stated previously, watch those teeth... i had a large female strike me on the inside of my right forearm... not only did she bite me, but she managed to adjust her jaws a second time, and digging back into me. The teeth managed to pierce a vein or two, causing blood to pool and lump up underneath my skin. After a day or two, it settled down and became one hideous yellow-green bruise, and after about 3 more weeks, it finally healed. Those teeth are definitely bad new... use the snake hooks. But i would never give them up, even if they did try to bite me every time....
