looking at other ppls dishes, well they dont look that deep, so how in the hell do you all keep the mealworms from getting out?!?!?!?!?!

My mealworms cant even get halfway up the container and it is only like .5" deep. Are you talking about superworms? superworms can get out of like everything.

5" wow, hmm, most of the pics iv seen deff dont look that deep. mines only bout 1 1/2". i guess i should get a deeper one. the only reason i havent done so yet, is cause i wasnt sure if the leos would want to try and get them, if the dish is too deep then the leo couldnt see movement of the mealies. that was my theory ne way. but ill try a deeper one

I use a ceramic dish that is varnished (the one you put under flower pot) It,s so slippery, the mealworm can get out even if it,s only less than half a inch deep.

Well, I haven't read the other responses, but I figured I'd share my pic. It's my entertainment center, and the mealworm bucket is pointed out.

I got a big bucket so I'd have no problem - from the mealworms OR my mother (she hates bugs).

LOL....thats kinda funny sorry...I can picture these guys going...."yehawwwwww we are freeeee goo goo gooooo"...hehe...I honestly dont know how any of you put those in the cage and just leave them....My little one is such a piglet she would eat and eat till she exploded LOL....I swear I could feed that little one 10 crickets and she would still be looking for more.

....and ocasional waxworms
