Chino has been approaching Chia quite alot, apparently he is not Done ! Chia, thinks he is, and shes boss !

those boys will be boys. walter segundo is still doing the little dance too. maybe he is just excited about the upcoming eggs. ha ha! you tell chino to keep those hormones in check! chia is getting round in the tummy. poor ivan has not eaten in a week and i think she would be skinny except that she has eggs in her. her chin looks alot less flabby. i hope she lays them soon or she may wither away.

laying, digging? How long has she been gravid? lack of appetite seems pretty normal right at the end ! keep us informed , Vonnie.

We all get a kick out of knowing the egg laying went well for the girls !

well last thursday she was digging and spent the night in a tunnel she had dug but the next day she came out and has not done that since. there were no eggs. i figured she was just practicing, like a lizard lamaze class. ijust like to give her a hard time about her weight because normally no food gets passed her. she is not really that long and the last time she got weighed she was 42.5 grams. walter segundo is longer than her and he is only 38. milly is skinny only 34 but she loves to eat and she is so wired that you would think the white stuff on her nose was something besides salt! i offer food to ivan everyday so i figure she knows what she is doing. this past saturday was 2 weeks since she turned orange. ijust keep working on my paper and trying not to meddle in her affairs.

21 -24 days after they mate for her to lay ! So your getting quite close I just dampened down the sand under some big rocks, in the Baja tank for Chia, the one pictured last night.

She always lays where they sleep, and with her mate Chino right in there with her ! Weird, as I make several secluded areas for her. But its usually with him.

It usually takes her longer to lay, but that was when they were infertie, so I'm just preparing her place because this week is already 20 something days since I saw them mate.

I figure better to have it ready early ! Shes already acting strange. Ya get to be familiar with the behavior !

Well hope Ivan does well ! Its always nerve racking until its over ! Then again when they are hatching, but so very exciting.

i am getting excited that it is getting close and i am kinda bummed that i will not get to see them hatch but i figure it is in the eggs' best interest to let those guys hatch them since i have to be out of town for two weeks when they could possibly hatch, however i am going to take a camera down there and tell them to take pictures for me and to call me when it starts to happen. so much for being a good grandmother haha. i hope chia lays a million eggs for ya.

Oh well if ya have to be awya, what else can you do? Thank goodness for cameras.

As far as Chia giving my a million eggs, ahhhhhh that would be nice, but unfortunitely C. vestiguim usually lay max. of 4 Mine anyway !
