Hi, need suggestions on a good space heater for a 12x10 snake room. What do you guys use....np

Thank you. I have never looked at that kind before. Do you use an external thermostat besides the one on the heater..like a Ranco? That is my next question. I would not trust the thermostat on the heater itself and would like it if I could fun it off of a separate thermostat.

Yes you can run a ranco thermostat.

I'm not familiar with the Ranco unit. I use a Helix Controls model 1500 because a typical oil filled unit has that many watts to be handled. Make sure you match up an appropriate sized thermostat to handle the full power of the heater. Be prepared for a hefty electric bill as well depending on how well insulated your room is.

Thanks for the help. The Ranco will take up to 1500 watts so I should be good to go..
