I have been wanting to get a large lizard such as a tegu or monitor but would like to know how a tegu is different from a monitor aside from appearance. I can find a lot of information on monitors but not so much on tegus
Do they eat different things? Have a different temperment?
Need different housing?
Oh and I heard red tegus are smaller than others. Are they and if so how much smaller?
