OK, Now she is really acting weird.

I'm back again. My female (if gravid) is due to lay her clutch any day (any minute?). She refused food on Saturday evening. However, she is in the box, out of the box, in the box with just her tail sticking out of the hole in the lid and up in the air. Is this prelaying behavior? Or am I heading for a big disappointment? Tomorrow is 45 days since her first breeding.

Post her last shed date and then you'll be able to get some meaningful responses.

that helps. snakes TYPICALLY lay 10 days after their shed. If i had to bet, i'd bet she'll lay in the next 48 hours. TYPICALLY you'll see her go in and out of the box, eventuallly settle into the box, and then, often over a 24 hour period, work her way to the bottom of the box rather than on top of the substrate. That bottom-of-the-box position is always the sign to me that laying is imminent (ie, in the next 24 hrs). I know it's hard to be patient at this time, but your snake isn't yet past any normal laying time, so it's most likely all will unfold on schedule.
keep us posted!

take her water bowl out. Some females will lay eggs in their water, if their next box isn't moist enough. Taking out the water will just ensure you won't have a totally busted clutch. Good luck. You should see eggs any day/minute.
