JCP-IJCP care? same?

woahjoe Apr 12, 2004 07:32 PM

What I would like to know is wether or not the care requirements are the same for an Irian Jaya carpet python{what i want} is the same as for a jungle carpet python, since there are many more for them. I have already read and read the sheet by Anthony.

To put it simply, is the care the same for an IJCP as for a JCP?

For the most part all carpets need about the same care. IJCP and JCP have some simular characteristics (Including being troublesome once in awhile to get switched to rats if started on mice). Also Anthony doesn't have JCP that I know of and deals mostly in IJCP. But on the same note his caresheet translates well for all but Diamond Carpets.

The care sheet encompases all Morelia spilota, except for Diamonds, as Darci stated.

I have kept several Jungle Carpets ranging in size from 2 month old babies to large adults, and the care requirements are identical to that of Irian Jaya Carpets.
