Housing brand new babies?

MattP Apr 12, 2004 07:38 PM

Hi, I'm just curious as to how everyone is housing their babies. Do you guys keep them with their cluth mates, or single, or in groups, or males single, or females in groups, etc....? Currently I house female clutch mates together and keep the ones I think are males single. When I put my babies together (all born within a week) I don't see any aggression, but last year I had some loose their tails. This year I'm trying to keep them single, or as few as possible in groups.

Thanks for reading,
Matt

You can house them together when they are first born. It does not matter if they are male or female. Once you start noticing that one is bigger then the other you should split them up. You can use plastic shoeboxes and put little holes in the top for homes. The reason you have had tails bitten off is because the babies sometimes get hungry and cofuse each others tail with little worms.

Hope this helps...

George
