While the male is vibrating and chasing the female around, what is the female doing? I have 1 female that just smacks the male in the face with her tail whenever he gets near.

Ya, I have one of those tough girls. She runs away and stuff, its ok, you're male with get her soon.
Well, the 2nd girl stood there and was good for him, lol. So how long will it take before I should notice whether it did any good or not??

Well, I could be wrong, but after my girls mate, I look at their vent and it is usually purple in color. Or you might see her licking the vent.
Well, I'm not that worried about it, I just wanted to be ready if she decided she needed to lay eggs. I was more wondering how long it usually takes them between conception and laying...

I have heard that once you see the eggs, its about 2 weeks, I've never really counted, and can see eggs fairly early in my opinion. I guess the easiest way to tell when shes about to lay would be when the moist hide gets torn up and the tank becomes a mess. She might start a week in advance, or a few days. Mine tend to do it a day or two before they lay.
