This is the ultimate debate. Some breeders never mist the cage, others only mist during a shed, while still others, like myself, err on the side of caution and try to keep the humidity level at or around 70%. I use a humidifier, but do mist the cage down every couple days. My JCP has never had a bad shed or a retained eye cap so it doesn't hurt. It also depends where you live. If you have a 50-60% humidity outside you're probably ok.

Depends on many many many factors, that are completely different for each cage/setup.

The short answer? It depends.

I have a jungle carpet and I only mist her once in a while, like maybe once a week. When she is in shedding mode I mist her more often. Esp when her eyes clear and she is due to shed any day. Then I'll mist her alot or even get her out and hold her under the faucet to wet her down. She had a perfect shed last time I did it that way.
