Ring neck snakes as pets? (please read)

I am cosidering getting a southern ring neck snake. I feild herp a lot and see the EVERY where and would like to try to keep one. I am not a begener to herps I have several snakes but would like to keep a ring neck. how hard are they to keep, what size tank, what substate, heat, ect....?????? Also I have herd the have a "venoume" (lol I feel weid saying that about a snake that hardly ever bites) but do they? if so how potent is it?

Sorry about spelling I have problems with it.

Ok,
I don't know where you are, but depending on the area, Southern ringnecks average 7 to 15 inches in length. One or two adults could live in a 10 gallon tank with soil, moss, or paper towels as substrate. They need hiding places, a few flat rocks or some bark will do. They eat lizards, skinks, worms, salamanders, snakes, pinkie mice, ant eggs and maybe fish. They are venomous but only to prey, they can't hurt people.

P.S.- They do good in captivity after they have settled down, otherwise they may be troublesome to keep.
