Hello all...I am new at leopard geckos and have a strange ailment question w/ my female leo.
Well, she was doing great for months...but all of a sudden she received a huge tumor-looking growth around her eye. I took her to the vet and he was stumped...he said possibly she had received a cut and some of the substrate entered it...so he lanced it and treated w/ antibiotics....a month passed and the other eye then had the same thing...so the same procedure...but what was odd is that I switched the substate to paper towels....she was good for about 2 months...now both eyes are pussy and the one side is getting the growth again...also around the mouth there is some sore-looking gums....do you have any idea? I am taking her to the vet tomorrow again but he doesn't really know what is going on...I figure somebody who works w/ leos may have encoutered this before....please, any help would be appreciated...
