Rabbits for Large constrictors....

Zazanak Apr 13, 2004 07:41 PM

Whats the best type of rabbit to breed for large constrictors? I know at one point im going to be spending lots of money on rabbits for a green anaconda and a male retic i'll be getting. Im getting a breeding pair of white lipped pythons and have a sub-adult b.c.i. and they too at one point might want smaller rabbits. Can anyone give me any nutrition facts for these compared to other feeders, i.e. jumbo rats. Thanks a ton.

Anacondas my kind if snake. Rabbits are a pain in the but to keep. They smell so bad 1000x worse than poorly maintained mice cages. But if you are still going to raise your own I'd go to the pet shop and buy a couple appropriet size rabbits and let them hump the heck out of eachother. You might want to build a outside area to raise them in. I cant tell you enough of how bad they stink. It would be SOOO much easier to call up Rodent Pro and order a few rabbits and keep them in the freezer. You figure a adult anaconda is only going to go threw 6-8 big rabbits per year. Stop in over at the anaconda forum and show us some pix or lets talk condas.---Eric---
