stupid question

Me and my freind got our bp's at the same time and they were the same age well mine has grown way bigger than his and do u think mine is a female and his is a male or am i taking better care of mine?

Snakes grow at different rates. Now feeding, sex, and metabolism are also key factors, but sex alone cannot create a larger snake of the same age. Hope this answers your NOT stupid question, Brian.

Actually, if you consider a large sample of ball pythons raised from hatching to perhaps 2 years of age you will find that easily most of the larger ones will be females. Expect two year old female balls raised under optimal conditions to be 1200-1500 grams (or more). The males will most likely be 800-1000 grams at this time. There is much variation, but in a large sample I expect this to be about right.
