Just had to laugh at NG Channel

Ah, the experts they dig up to be on TV. Just saw a National Geographic show that had a snake "expert" in Florida that claims to have "caught habus and rattlesnakes in Korea and a 35 foot anaconda in the Phillipines that ate the village pig". I guess they'll let just about anyone on TV. (No offense BGF)

It might be funny to you, but think of those poor people who lost their pig!

I saw that also.....My lord what are we coming too. Anacondas in the Phillipines and 35 foot ones too....Did he not know that there is a standing price tag on a 30+ foot snake thats up to 50,000 dollars? Next they are going to have crocodiles in the parks in Japan. Caiman in Denver CO. hoop snakes, cottonmouths that chase you all the way home and of course the 2 step snake! How can we forget the 2 steppers!!!!! Or the venomous rat snakes! ( no offense BGF )

Ever'body knows the Fillipino anaconda gets bigger than the South American species. Before I insult anybody by guessing who the "expert" was, who was it?

We have discussed this particular show before.
It was Maynard Cox.
The same expert who tells people that Eastern Coral Snakes are rear-fanged! (They are front-fanged elapidae for those reading this that don't know)
I am sure that Maynard does a lot of good in his "neck of the woods" but he does put out a lot of erroneous information.

You know that was gonna be my first guess. He does do a lot of good, but he sure messes up the facts on occasion.

Thats as good as Austin Stevens diving in the water for a West Afican Gaboon in East Africa. If only they knew how dumb they look.
