My babies aren't they cute?
Sorry grabbed the wrong pic.

this is the blue Blossom

There you go! The camera does take nice pics!!!! LOL
Great picture!!!! So that definitely looks like a blue!
So the 2 get along together?:0) Did you quarantine them before placing them together as to deter any passing of disease or parasites? A fecal exam at a herp vet would defintiely help
this cause as well.
Terrific looking tegus!!!
Greg
Yes to the quarentine section probably not as long as we should have though. The pet store that ordered him for us had a fecal done when he got in. Thank you
I like the columbian too, how's his attitude?
I just read your other post about his temperament, sounds like he's pretty good.
>> "the B/W does not try to bite hiss or tail whip when I pick him up and he is mellow for the first few seconds and then tries to bolt about how long does it take for them to calm down if you are holding them 2-3 times a day?"
I wouldn't expect him to get much more tame then that, but he very well might get better gradually. Most tegus get more calm as they age, mine have.
I wouldn't restrain him if he tries to run. Sure restrain him just enough to put him back or whatever but don't be set on holding him enough till he gets tame. It's not about holding him X minutes per day or X number of times per day. It's more like building up trust or getting him to like you.
You and I both need that edit function. Yesterday I had to work a 24 hour shift and man the phones in the barracks so I put him in a little travel carrier and just let him walk around in it and I would just reach in and pet him or rub his belly. I left my hand in there with him for about an hour and let him come or go to it as he pleased. I think this worked well as by the time I took him back home he would walk up to my hand for a rub.
He is a little flighty yet but has never even tried to run while in the tank and I pick him up however when he is out and on my lap I have to watch him like a hawk or he will bolt the first chance he gets.
