I switched my BTS from cage carpet to aspen bedding about 3-4 weeks ago. Since then, I've only seen one poop & he's not really eating. I've switched him to feeding every three days instead of every two, thinking he'd be more hungry. I've changed his diet, to make sure he's getting enough variety, but he didn't eat today either (cooked hamburger, mixed veggies, a few pieces of fruit). He doesn't have any hard spots that I can feel in his belly & doesn't appear to be losing weight. He is drinking & seems as active as he's ever been. What do you all think?

Mine too, are on aspen....I don't always see the poo because it may get mixed in with the aspen a bit. I have to look a little harder to clean it. But why don't you put him back on carpet just until you see the amount of poo you are accustomed to him producing. Then if he doesn't...start trouble shooting.

I thought about that. Thank you, I think I will. I also noticed that it gets mixed in a lot more, but now it's been about 4 weeks, so I should have seen some by now, I think. Thanks again.
