I have a fire belly toad, that is eating very well.
eating 3-4 crikets every otherday. It seems that he is changing colors...to a darker(not bright green)color
almost black.
is this normal?

I have fire bellied toads that I got when they were bright green and have since changed to a darker colour. Not all of them have, just a few. I am not sure for the reason why this happens, but hopefully someone here does!
I know it's not a serious thing though, my toads are fine, and it sounds like yours is too.
well the longer a toad stays in the water his skin gets darker.. and when that moister leavs he returns to a failry lighter green.. aslo they do shed there skin and when that happens they will return to a bright green color.
