Albinos are my passion.. Still my favorite morph!

The father of these babies is actually wild caught! He is here on breeding loan from Tracy Barker. I believe these are unrelated to anyones out there. The last time Tracy bred him to a het female 4 out of 5 came out albino. Maybe this bloodline is prone to throwing more albinos? If you've seen the bright orange and white albino on VPI's ball python gallery, it came from this guy. Thanks for all your nice comments I appreciate it!

Congratulations, and great to hear about the new blood!

However, any albino male could have only given albino genes. It's your het albino female who got lucky and gave albino genes to more than half of her eggs. Since the females also determine the gender of the offspring in snakes it would be interesting to see if there is any skewing from the expected normal distribution indicating that the females' contribution isn't as random and independent for each egg as expected (i.e. what if she splits copies of a smaller number of eggs before fertilization).

...nicely done!! I'm still waiting to see if the two 100% het albinos my albino bred are even going to ovulate! The normal females he bred (3) have ovulated and 1 is building towards. Oh well what are you gunna do!? One good thing is if they (the hets) don't ovulate I should be able to get them bigger for next year! Ahhh, next year...!
