The New? UV Bulbs

Lizard-lady Apr 14, 2004 11:50 AM

Hello,

My vet metioned to me the other day if I use the 40.00(?) UV bulbs for my herps. Are they new? Are they better than the usual UV bulbs? I think I saw what she was talking about but they were floods and gave off heat.

She may have been talking about mercury vapor lights.
They give off UV and of course heat. and they are around $40

MV's are good for reptiles, they give off alot more UV light and they're great for plants.
