UVB for Frogs

BEAM0902 Apr 14, 2004 12:01 PM

Hi,
I have two recently metamorphosed buulfrogs or green frogs (too hard to tell now) and wanted to know if a UVB light should be placed over their enclosure. My biggest concern is that it will make the land portion too dry for them and they won't come up to rest as they have been. Could it dry them out? Also, I built them a custom aquarium out of acrylic sheeting (plexiglass) and wanted to know if the rays can penetrate that well anyway.
Thanks a lot.
Max

Simply lightly dust crickets/food with calcium that has D3 in it. I've kept frogs for years and years and never once have they seen the light of day, and I use absolutely NO UVB lights.
