I'd like to switch to MV Bulb in the basking area. I would like to know how the heat output compares to a regular basking bulb.
Is it hotter/cooler/same.
Your help is appreciated.

I don't use them personally, but have heard many people say they do NOT put out as much heat and a lot of times you will need to up the wattage or use an additional light to get the right temps.

Depends on the brand, PowerSuns are MUCH hotter than normal bulbs of the same wattage. Other brands are cooler.
